More quilled cards

In spite of my busy schedule, i did manage to make 2 cards. Now i need to have a really good camera cos the one that i have rite now does not do justice to the cards i made. Case of a bad carpenter blaming his tools but who cares. I love creating and working with my hands and I have to thank all my friends and other quillers for really inspiring me. So for all muslim friends and bloggers (crafters or not) a happy hari raya and may Allah bless us all. Enjoy.............................

love in blue

This is my second attempt. I feel a lot more confident now and I followed all blogs on greeting cards. Got myself a paper cutter tho I have yet to buy the paper shredder introduced by Lin. I got out my printer and after brushing all cobwebs, i started printing words and experimenting with the sizes. I really am absorbed by the wonders of what one can do with papers and there are wonderful tutorials online. I am not new to blogging but I am not that skillful at it so i have lots to learn about linkings and uploading videos and images. But knowing my enthusiasm when finding something new and exciting, I am sure I will be able to do all those (albeit with a little help from my nephews Shafiq and Hakeem). So here is the second project with quilling.

two hearts entwined

I have been sewing beads and sequins for a number of years. Now i have found a new hobby...........making greeting cards. I was searching the net for handmade greeting cards and fell in love with quilling............thanks to Azlina ( Lin's handmade greeting cards). I bought the quilling papers since i have no idea of how to cut them and what type of paper to use. So after a few trials and errors................tadaaaaaaaaaa.................behold my first card. I had to make it big cos I knew for a first timer I am not skilled enough to go for small designs.
